What Is the Winnebago Solis?
The Winnebago Solis is one of the nine Class B camper vans made by Winnebago. It ranges from 19 feet 9 inches to 21 feet long and is powered by a gas engine. It’s one of the most budget-friendly Winnebago camper vans, starting at just over $152,000.
This unit has a fiberglass, easy-to-use pop-top and Froli Sleep System for two people. Owners also have the option to remove the pop-top. The two chairs behind the driver’s seat form a dinette space and an additional riding area with seatbelts. This works great for families traveling with children.
The Winnebago Solis also comes equipped with one 220-Watt solar panel on the top of the pop-top roof and a 170-Watt solar panel attached to the van when the pop-top roof is removed. Additional features include the Eco-Hot water system, cassette toilet, and ceiling-to-floor insulation.
Does Winnebago Only Make Class B Vans?
Winnebago has been around for decades. It launched its first travel trailer in 1958, followed by its first motorhome debut in 1967.
Today, the company continues to make travel trailers and motorhomes, including Class As, Class Bs, and Class Cs. Recently, Winnebago also introduced two accessibility-enhanced units to provide comfortable and convenient accommodations for travelers in wheelchairs. It has seven Class A lines, seven Class C lines, and five travel trailer lines to go along with the nine camper vans.

What Makes the Winnebago Solis Unique?
The Winnebago Solis has everything you need for a comfortable camping trip. You don’t have the bells and whistles of some more luxurious camper vans, but you also don’t have the high price tag. The simple amenities still make you feel at home.
The pop-up roof also makes the Winnebago Solis unique. This extension provides additional sleeping space for families or traveling friends. Few camper vans will sleep up to four people.
The Winnebago Solis Class B Floorplans
There are two Winnebago Solis floorplans. The 59P measures 19 feet 9 inches, while the 59PX comes in at 21 feet.
The 59PS also weighs 450 pounds heavier but has a higher cargo-carrying capacity with a larger rear storage area. However, inside, the two floorplans are almost identical.

Features: Winnebago Solis 59P comes on a Ram ProMaster chassis with a 280-horsepower 3.6L V6 gas engine. It features opposing rear sofas with the option to replace them with one single sofa bed across the rear wall. It has a Murphy bed and storage below the floor for your camping gear.
In the center of the camper van is a wet bath and kitchen that includes a pull-out countertop extension, two-burner range, 3 cubic foot 12-Volt refrigerator/freezer, and stainless steel sink. It also has a 20-gallon fresh tank and a 20-gallon gray tank.
The front has a removable pedestal table with two captain’s chairs for a comfortable dining area or workspace and access to the pop-up rooftop.

Features: The Winnebago Solis 59PX has almost the same floorplan and build as the 59P except for an extended wheelbase to provide more rear storage. The double doors allow easy access to your outdoor gear and about another foot of storage space.
Additionally, you can’t remove the opposing sofas for the one rear sofa bed in the 59PX. This model also comes equipped with a Cummins Onan QG 2800i gas generator.

Who’s the Winnebago Solis Good For?
If you’re a traveler who wants convenience but doesn’t want to pay over $200,000 for a camper van, the Winnebago Solis may be a good fit. It has a wet bath, a fully functioning kitchen, a sleeping space, and a dinette area. The length makes either model easy to maneuver, even if you’ve never driven anything larger than a sedan.
It’s also a good option for travelers exploring national and state parks. These campgrounds tend to have size limits, so you won’t have trouble booking a campsite with a vehicle 21 feet or shorter.
