When planning your family’s next vacation, don’t visit the typical tourist attractions in the East, like Myrtle Beach, New York City, or Savannah. Although these are great destinations, why don’t you take the family to Delaware this year?

It’s not as crazy as it sounds. Delaware is full of beautiful beaches and charming towns.

When we visited, we stayed at Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay RV resort, formally known as Massey’s Landing. We’re ready to convince you to make your reservation here, too! Let’s dive in!

What Is Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay?

Sun Outdoor Rehoboth Bay is where we stayed in 2019 for a Grand Design rally. It recently changed ownership, but it’s a fantastic luxury RV resort in Delaware. Its proximity to the Delaware beaches and local attractions makes this a great option when traveling up the East Coast.

You get beachfront cottages, waterfront RV sites, and glamorous safari tents to suit the needs of all types of vacationers. The amenities include a swimming pool, swim-up bar, on-site restaurants, a private beach, and planned activities and events for kids and families.

You can also rent paddle boards or bikes, take your furry friend to the dog park, and have some fun in the arcade.

Where Is Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay?

The exact address of Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay is 20628 Long Beach Drive in Millsboro, Delaware. It’s 30 miles from Rehoboth Beach. This part of southeastern Delaware is well-known for its beautiful beaches.

From Fenwick Island at the southern Delaware border to Lewes just north of Rehoboth Beach, this Delaware coastline is popular among tourists and locals.

7 Top Reasons to Stay at Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay

If you want to spend a week along the shores of the Atlantic in Delaware, you won’t go wrong with booking a stay at Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay.

From the private beach access to the on-site food and activities, this luxury RV resort has something for everyone.

1. Private Beach Access

At Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay, you have great places to launch a canoe or kayak at Cove Deck Lagoon. It also has a fishing pier that juts out into Roman Pond. The kids may love the water obstacle course and swimming pool.

But one of the best water features of this RV resort is the private beach access. You won’t have tourists coming in from outside the campground. Here you can enjoy an entire day in the sun, building sand castles, swimming, throwing frisbees, and more without the crowds.

In addition, the beach bar is ready to serve you to make your day even more enjoyable.

2. Welcome Center Is Top-Notch

When you first arrive at a new campground, you want the check-in process and hospitality to be top-notch. The concierge service and staff at Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay were friendly and accommodating.

You can also get information about rentals and excursions here. Finally, you’ll find the camp store and on-site food options at the Welcome Center.

3. Swim Up Bar

Sometimes it’s nice to have time as a couple or a chance to have an adult conversation away from the kids. We loved the swim-up bar to enjoy some adult time.

The swimming pool is divided into two sections: one is for anyone under age 21, while the other is for anyone over age 21. So you can relax and enjoy a cocktail or beer at Delaware’s only swim-up bar.

Keep in Mind: Florida is one of the most popular states to RV at, but there are a few reasons many actually Hate RVing in Florida!

4. Plenty of Activities for Kids and Adults

Massey’s Landing had many planned activities, and Sun Outdoors continues this tradition. During the main season, events like Block Parties, Wine It Up Weekends, Jeep Jam Weekend, and Great Inflatable Race Weekend, among others, can make your stay entertaining.

Amenities include playgrounds, corn hole, a fishing pier, a batting cage, a water obstacle course, and more. You won’t have a shortage of activities to keep you entertained during your stay here.

5. Very Dog-Friendly

Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay might be one of the most dog-friendly RV resorts we’ve visited. It has a dog park near the entrance and a special dog beach at Roman Pond.

If you don’t have your pooch, you can enjoy the beach access just to the right of the pier. For the dog-friendly beach, just head on down towards the other end. Our pup loved running wild here.

6. Food Is On-Site

It’s always nice when you don’t have to go off-site to grab lunch or dinner. Visit Happy Jack’s Cafe for a coffee or morning treat. You also get all-day dining at the Paradise Landing Tiki Bar.

You can enjoy the beautiful views here. And then you have the swim-up bar for afternoon drinks. Plus, it has a Market Place inside the Welcome Center where you can pick up groceries for your stay.

7. Great Location to Other Attractions

Although once you arrive, you may never want to leave, you can’t beat the location of Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay. Visit Cape Henlopen, less than 20 miles north of the resort. Fenwick Island State Park is about 30 miles south.

Rehoboth Beach and its mile-long boardwalk, the Tanger Outlets, Fisherman’s Wharf Marina, breweries, golf courses, shopping, and dining are all less than 20 miles away.
