We love that the key fob can lock not just the door but also any other under-storage or baggage compartments that have RVLock systems. You can sync up to 10 key fobs to control multiple locks on your RV.

Steel Body Construction

The hardened steel core provides added durability. The unit is made of metal alloy to combine reliability and function.

Cons

The RVLock can provide a lot of peace of mind, but it isn’t perfect. Let’s look at a couple of flaws.

Plastic Handle Feels Flimsy

Despite the solid body construction, older models used flimsy plastic handles. This made it feel like those handles would break, especially the inside handle. The latest 2021 models have upgraded metal handles. However, you’ll have to ensure you’re getting that upgraded model and not an older one.

Annoying Beeping Sound

The unit beeps when you lock and unlock. Users have complained that it’s very loud and can be heard from several campsites away. Some users have even sought out ways to silence the noise.

Pro tip: Holding down the 1 key for three seconds deactivates the sound.

The RVLock adds security to your RV, whether you travel full-time or only on weekends. Better security and less hassle locking and unlocking can add convenience to your RVing life. Have you ever been locked out of your RV? How did you get back in?
