About Phoenix USA RV
Kermit Fisher started Phoenix USA RV in 1996 in Bristol, Indiana. While they initially focused on Class B campers, they transitioned to Class C models in 2000. They introduced the B-Plus motorhome, the Phoenix Cruiser, to the market in December 2009. It quickly became one of their most popular models.
However, the Cruiser wasn’t their final innovation. They introduced the Phoenix TRX in 2019. This was slightly smaller and more versatile than the Cruiser. You can find their models at authorized United States and Canada dealers.
Who Owns Phoenix USA RV?
While Kermit Fisher started the company in 1996, he sold the brand to Jim Byrnes and Chuck Cooper in June 2017. To our knowledge, the company hasn’t changed hands since. Phoenix USA RV is an independent RV manufacturer, meaning they’re not owned or connected to big names like Thor, Winnebago, Forest River, or REV Group.

Phoenix Cruiser

About: The Phoenix USA 2100 has a rear entrance and seating for six. When parked, the driver-side seating slides out to open the living area. The kitchen and bathroom are at the rear of the unit. Being the smallest offering from the manufacturer, this tiny rig can squeeze into just about any spot. We like the light wood accents instead of the darker colors many manufacturers tend to use.

About: We like the Phoenix USA 2351 for the rear bath and the much larger sleeping space. You can access everything, whether the slide is open or closed. With the entry being towards the middle, it helps create an open area. We love what we see in this unit, but the only negative is the mattress’s shape. For those wanting to upgrade, it’ll take some DIY skills. A slight curvature in the bed will require modifications to use other mattresses.
2351D
Height: 10’1”
Length: 25’11”

About: The 2351D provides a more standard-shaped bed but requires the slide to be open. However, With two slides, the 2351D can quickly feel larger than its roughly 26′ would seem. It features many of the same features as the 2351 but has the bed flipped. The model still comes with the sofa bed, which means you’ll be able to sleep at least four in this tiny Class B-Plus.

About: With four captain chairs and a comfortable seating area, the Phoenix USA 2400 is perfect for couples on the go. It has a rear kitchen and bathroom, with the mid-area as the primary living and sleeping space. One of the biggest complaints with this and the 2100 is that there’s no sleeping space without opening the slides.

About: The Phoenix USA 2552 is a few feet longer and offers more options. They stick with the rear bath but offer twin beds on each side. The main entry is in the middle of the unit, which causes you to lose one of the chairs from smaller units. The kitchen features a microwave and a single-burner stovetop. In addition, a fold-down extension provides more room for preparing delicious meals.
We love the softer color tones throughout the unit. They provide a much more residential look and feel. It may be small, but it has everything you’ll need during your adventures.
2910D
Height: 10’1”
Length: 30’10”

About: The Phoenix USA 2910D is the first in the lineup to cross the 30′ mark. However, choosing this rig gives you substantial room inside your RV. It features a rear bedroom, a mid-bath, and a front living setup. You enter midway through the rig near the kitchen space. The seating and stove top on a giant slide make the area much more open. Additionally, the bed is on a slide, allowing you to walk around the entire bed when opened.
2910T

About: While the Phoenix USA 2910T looks like a copy and paste of the 2910D, you gain a third slide. It offers opposing slides for the seating spaces, which opens up the flooring even more. You’ll now have five seats in the main living area and a dinette for eating meals. You can start to see how much more freedom manufacturers have when you increase the length of the structure.

About: The Phoenix USA 3100 is the largest offering from Phoenix USA. At nearly 31′ long, you’ll have multiple sleeping spaces, a dinette, and a rear bathroom with a shower. While it might lack privacy between sleeping areas, it can be an excellent way for families to travel together. The dinette and sofa bed can convert into sleep spaces after a long day of adventuring. In addition, it comes with multiple overhead storage compartments to keep all your goodies safe while traveling down the highway.
Phoenix TRX
1561
Height: 9’8”
Length: 23’1”
GVWR: 4,630 lbs.
About: The Phoenix TRX 1561 has a single-slide and a very light color scheme. They opted for the yellow-oak look, which brightens up the space. The sofa bed folds out but requires the slide to be open. This is an excellent option for a couple or solo traveler who wants to move quickly. It has a full kitchen and a dry bath.

About: The Phoenix TRX 1562 is like the 1561 but without the slideout. Unfortunately, this will make things very tight when it’s time to retire for the night. The walkway will get taken nearly entirely up by the bed. However, you still get the full kitchen, dry bath, and bright color scheme. You’ll be able to duck into stealth camping spots and get some rest without tipping anyone off that you’re dozing away inside.

About: The Phoenix TRX 1563 has opposing seats, which convert into a mega-bed for sleeping. However, this walkway can feel crowded and slightly awkward with no slides. Anyone sitting down will have to move for someone to squeeze through. If you’re not close with your traveling companions, you will be by the end of this trip. Outside of a solo or couple traveling, fitting any more passengers inside will be challenging.

About: The Phoenix TRX 1781 features a rear kitchen and rear bath. It provides a tremendous amount of counter space to prepare meals and do dishes. Out of all the floor plans, this is one of our favorites. It feels the most usable but requires you to use TV tray-like tables for your meals. With the slide open, it feels very open and spacious despite being barely 25’ in length.
