Mammoth Overland is a sister company of Vashon Aircraft, owned by Dr. John Torode. He’s the founder and CEO, but this isn’t his first company. He’s a serial entrepreneur when it comes to aviation companies.
Dr. Torode has a physics degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an M.S. in physics, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Washington. It’s safe to say he’s well-educated and knows a thing or two.
About Vashon Aircraft
Vashon Aircraft has been building a two-seater airplane called the Ranger R7 since 2015. They’re based out of Woodinville, Washington, and their goal has always been to make versatile and user-friendly aircraft.
