For the past 10 years, Loki Basecamp has shipped products from busy North American cities.
However, with the new expansion and look of Loki Expedition, the company decided to move its manufacturing location to Quebec City, Canada.
It also has a second location on the West Coast in the works.

The Loki Expedition Line Up
Loki Basecamp still exists as units under the Loki Expedition lineup. But the Falcon X-Series and Discovery Series complete the line with additional options for overlanders.

Falcon X-Series
Built on a Ford F550 or Ram 5500 chassis, the Falcon X-Series is available in both an 8-foot and 15-foot model. These units have bigger water tanks, larger batteries, additional sleeping quarters, a closed shower and toilet, and more.
Compared to the original Loki Basecamp Falcon 8, these models are a lot bigger.
The windows have ratings for extreme conditions because of their built-in pressure system and double glazing. In addition, the premium composite panels have R15.5-R17.4 insulation.
Owners can include up to a 900Ah lithium battery bank and 4,000 Watt inverter and charger.
Inside, up to six guests can sleep comfortably. The floorplan features a large U-shaped dinette, a wet bath, quartz counters, a queen bed, an induction cooktop, a microwave, a 160 Liter fridge, and a 35 Liter freezer.
Discovery Series
Though the truck comes with the build of the Falcon X, Loki offers complete truck builds or fully furnished habitats in its Discovery Series.
You can select your truck chassis or use a vehicle you already own. The Discovery habitats feature windows rated for extreme conditions and units that can withstand all temperatures with the R15.5 to R17.4 insulation.
Special features of this series include an exterior kitchen, sport accessory racks, a mud room for drying gear, or an optional toy hauler.
Additionally, the floorplan features all of the amenities of the Falcon 8-Series. Inside, up to six guests can sleep comfortably.
Owners can include up to 1,520 Watt solar power, up to a 2,000Ah lithium battery bank, and a 10,000 Watt inverter and charger.
Loki Basecamp Icarus Series
Not everyone needs the heavy-duty habitats of the Falcon X and Discovery Series. The Loki Basecamp Icarus Series features a reinforced fiberglass hull truck camper that fits a 6-foot or 8-foot pickup bed.
Additionally, the double-density synthetic composite insulation and high-efficiency air conditioning and heating unit mean you can enjoy comfortable four-season camping. And they come custom-built so that each Loki Basecamp Icarus can meet the individual needs of each owner.
Inside, the functionality of the Icarus Series is unparalleled. It has a mud room to hang your wet gear and a removable shower. This space also converts to an eating area.
Furthermore, the removable aluminum platforms allow owners to relax, get some work done, or watch movies. The kitchen space includes an ergonomic counter, a stainless steel sink, and an induction cooktop.
At night, owners can pull out the sleeping platform to enjoy a good night’s rest on a full-sized bed.
The off-grid capabilities of the Loki Basecamp Icarus Series aren’t as extensive as the Falcon X or Discovery Series but still offer plenty of power.
Finally, owners can choose to include up to 300 Watt solar power, a 600Ah lithium battery bank, and 2,000 Watt inverter and charger.

Loki Basecamp Falcon 8
The Loki Basecamp Falcon 8 unit is a slide-in truck camper for 8-foot pickup beds. It weighs approximately 3,000 pounds and comes custom-built to suit each owner’s needs.
Unlike the fiberglass Icarus Series, the Falcon 8 has an aluminum shell designed for long use. It’s corrosion-resistant and easy to maintain.
The floorplan compares to the Icarus Series but with a larger queen bed. And it has multiple brackets and racks for convenient storage solutions and adaptable configurations.
Owners can choose to include up to 360 Watts of solar power, up to a 600Ah lithium battery bank, and a 2,000 Watt inverter and charger.
What Truck Chassis Does Loki Expedition Use?
Loki Expedition has partnered with Elevation Off Grid to provide the most capable truck chassis on the planet. These trucks offer superior on and off-road capabilities.
They feature full liquid spring smart suspension, super single conversion, and a luxurious cab. Considered the most advanced F-550 ever made, these truck chassis have a minimum 9,500-pound payload capacity and a 30,000-pound towing capacity.
How Do I Order a Loki Expedition Habitat?
First, contact Loki Expedition so you can discuss your project and objectives. The customer service representative will help you pick your unit.
The initial deposit for a vehicle is $5,000. You also must sign a sales agreement to reserve the next production spot.
Then you can customize your unit and collaborate with the Loki team. You’ll receive photos and video updates of the build process.
Finally, you’ll receive your unit and training on proper maintenance and care. The entire process takes about three or four months.

How Much Is a Loki Basecamp Truck Camper?
The least expensive unit, the Loki Basecamp Icarus Series, starts at $69,000. The Loki Basecamp Falcon 8 units start at $135,000.
For owners interested in the heavy-duty Ford F550 or Ram 5500 Falcon X15 habitat, the pricing starts at $560,000. The truck is included.

Is Loki Expedition a Good Company?
