Our first campground is Ellacoya State Park, on the southwest side of Lake Winnipesaukee. Swimming, hiking, and canoeing are some of the most popular activities at this campground.
There is a load-in dock allowing for easy boat access to the water. This campground sits on a 600-foot shoreline and has 37 three-way hook-up campsites. You cannot go tent camping on the property.

Viewland Campground

Approximately 600 feet from Alton Beach, Viewland Campground is a 56-site location operating differently than the other campgrounds on this list.
For many of the tenants at Viewland, their stay is more long-term. In addition to the RV and tent sites, there are several trailer and housing accommodations available for seasonal rent.
Several restaurants and marinas are within walking distance. Viewland Campground makes the perfect destination for those wanting to take it a little easier or those who plan on staying longer.

Bear’s Pine Woods Campground & Resort

Following Long Island Bridge’s style, Bear’s Pine Woods Campground and Resort boasts its suitability for families and groups. The campground amenities include a laundry room, free hot showers, a game room, a snack store, and a community lodge.
They also note on their website that they are not far from the closest town and that many amenities are available for guests.
With sites for tenting, RV camping, and several rental units, this campground is an excellent option for those who enjoy discovering the culture and life around the vacation town.
Paugus Bay Campground

As a part of their mission, they provide three hot meals daily to all campers in what they describe as a “warm, social atmosphere.” Spots on the island are limited but highly sought-after.
