Not only do they have a massive facility, but it includes a quarter-mile drag strip to dial in each vehicle that goes through their shop.
It should come as no surprise that a brand that pushes the envelope is located in Texas. The state has a reputation for being one of the biggest and baddest. Their 142 acres sit alongside Interstate-10 in Sealy, Texas, approximately 45 minutes west of Houston.
About the VelociRaptoR 6×6
Hennessey used a Ford F-150 Raptor R and morphed it into a six-wheel-drive monster.
While they may have used the Ford F-150 as the base, this isn’t your grandpa’s truck. Installing a second locking rear axle provides grip and traction.
The VelociRaptoR 6×6 has a 5.2-liter V8 that cranks out 700 horsepower. However, the mechanical upgrades to this truck are out of this world. Hennessey loaded it with significant suspension enhancements with live valve Fox dampers, a three-inch lift, and 37-inch off-road tires.
John Hennessey described the truck, “The supercharged V8 in the Raptor R perfectly complements our limited edition ‘VelociRaptoR 6×6’ package.”
He bragged about the increased traction and said, “The upgrade boosts traction and improves utility, which makes the 6×6 practical and functional.”
However, he also admits that it’s not just a tremendous performing truck; it also looks good. “It’s a real blast to drive – I consider it a go-anywhere super truck with head-turning stage presence!” he said.
How Much Does a Hennessey VelociRaptoR 6×6 Cost?
You better have deep pockets if you want to own a VelociRaptor 6×6. These super trucks come with a nearly $500,000 price tag.
