These Are the Best RV Parks in and Around Denver
It may be challenging to find a place to park the RV in the Denver metro area, but we have found seven Denver area RV parks that will keep visitors close to the action.
1. Clear Creek RV Park
Address: 1400 10th Street, Golden, CO, 80401
A smaller RV park just 15 minutes west of Denver, Clear Creek RV Park has 34 RV sites and three tent sites. This park is open year-round, which is not easy to find in much of Colorado. The location is along Clear Creek, with a scenic setting. Nightly rates are $32 to $65, with tent, electric, and full hookup sites. Long-term stays are also possible, but you cannot bring schoolies or tiny houses.
2. The Prospect RV Park
Address: 11600 W. 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033
Conveniently close to the interstate, the Prospect RV Park is in a western suburb of Denver, close to mountain access. With 70 pull-thru sites available, the park allows overnight, short-term, and even permanent residents. There is a bathhouse, and the pool is open during the summer season. Rates run from $28 to $42 per night.
3. Ridgeline at River Run RV Park
Address: 3650 S. Federal Avenue, Englewood, CO 80110
Ridgeline is a 55+ resort community of manufactured homes, with several RV campsites available. They offer a clubhouse, swimming pool, and internet cafe as amenities but do not allow dogs. Built in a neighborhood setting, the community has nightly and monthly stays at $49 per night and $888 per month.
4. Flying Saucer RV Park
Address: 2500 W. Hampden Avenue, Sheridan, CO 80110
Open all year, Flying Saucer RV Park has 162 RV sites on the banks of Bear Creek in this southern Denver suburb. They offer a shower house and laundry and do allow dogs. However, they do not take reservations. RVers can call on the day of arrival to see if space is available. Prices are $55 for daily stays, $344 for weekly lodging, and $600+ for monthly visits plus electricity.

5. Buckley Fam Camp RV Park
Address: 18500 East Sixth Avenue, Aurora, CO 80011
Military families can take advantage of the Buckley Fam Camp on the grounds of Buckley Air Force Base. The campground is on the east side of Denver, with 38 campsites. Full hookup sites run $30 per day, and campers can stay a maximum of 45 days from April through October and 30 days from November through March. You must make reservations by phone, and campers need authorized base access to use Fam Camp.
6. Denver West / Central City KOA Holiday
Address: 605 Lake Gulch Road County Road 6, Central City, CO 80427
Open from April 22 through October 9, this KOA is in the mountains just outside the old mining town of Central City. It has a wide variety of sites, including premium, patio, and deluxe pull-thru and back-in sites. Amenities range from a hot tub and sauna to hot showers, curbside check-in, and cable TV. They can handle rigs up to 80’ long, and prices vary from $88 to $100.
7. Dakota Ridge RV Park
Address: 17800 W. Colfax Avenue, Golden, CO 80419
Located west of Denver, Dakota Ridge RV Park has 141 RV campsites, with a nice mix of back-in and pull-thru sites. With a clubhouse with a fitness center, billiards room, and library, the park can keep its campers busy. The heated outdoor pool and hot tub are open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, and prices run from $55 to $82 for nightly stays and $385 to $505 for weekly visits.
