Who Is Matt Reichel?
When Matt Reichel traveled in the rugged terrain of Colorado, he realized the need for durable, off-road campers for adventurers to explore lesser-known regions.

Matt Reichel loved exploring the Colorado mountains. He was a ski instructor and loved mountain biking.
Therefore, Boreas Campers makes its home in Pueblo, Colo., a city about 40 minutes south of Colorado Springs. Pueblo sits at the intersection of Interstate 25 and Highway 50.

Boreas XT
The Boreas XT serves as a turnkey backcountry-basecamp with everything you need to enjoy an off-grid, off-road camping trip.
It has a Cruisemaster CRS2 axle-less independent suspension, 235/80/R17 BF Goodrich All-Terrain Ko2 tires, and electric brakes. It also features a custom tongue box with Zamp Solar plug and a 23Zero side awning.
Specs: It measures 16 feet long and 7 feet wide. The overall height is 6 feet 8.5 inches, with a ground clearance of 19 inches. The tongue weighs 210 pounds with a weight rating of 3,500 pounds.
Exterior Features: It has driver and passenger-side cabin doors with windows. On the roof, you’ll find a custom aluminum roof rack with two large cross bars with a load rating of 500 pounds. Along the exterior, you also have access to an instant hot water shower.
Interior Features: Inside the cabin, you get a 6500 BTU Propex forced air furnace and fully insulated walls, roof, and flooring for a comfortable stay even in colder temperatures.
Although you can add on an air conditioning unit, a Maxxair Fan comes standard. A 4.5-inch custom memory foam queen mattress lays across the entire interior for a 6-foot-7-inch head-to-toe sleeping area.
Galley Features: In the rear of the Boreas XT camper, you have a pull-out stainless steel sink, a two-burner stove, and a C60 Truma refrigerator.
It also has an overhead LED porch light with a dimmer to help you prepare meals at night. Finally, a 30-gallon freshwater tank with a self-priming pump provides ample water for a weekend adventure.

Boreas EOS-12
The Boreas EOS-12 has all of the standard features of the Boreas XT with a few upgrades. It is longer and comes standard with 300 Watts of Zamp Obsidian ultra-thin glass solar panels.
It also features Battle Born Gamechanger 3.0 lithium batteries, a Victron Multiplus inverter/charger combo, and a water filtration system. And for four-season camping, you get heated and insulated tanks and water lines.
Specs: It measures 20 feet long and 7 feet 2 inches wide. The overall height when open is 120 inches, with a ground clearance of 20 inches. The tongue weight is 400 pounds, and the rated weight is 5,200 pounds.
Exterior Features: Instead of a rear hatch, the Boreas EOS-12 has a rear entry door with fold-down steps. It has Tern windows with built-in screens and shades on either side of the trailer. It also has an exterior shower with an optional shower room enclosure.
Interior Features: The Boreas EOS-12 sleeps up to five in the cabin and has a fold-down dinette. Due to its larger size than the Boreas XT, it can fit a wet bath.
The pop-up roof also gives it a 6-foot-6-inch standing height, much taller than the Boreas XT. You also get a Maxxair 7500 overhead fan, rear-pantry storage, under-bench storage, and a Tern roof hatch window.
Galley Features: The galley kitchen is on the passenger side of the camper and not the rear. It features a stainless steel sink, a three-burner cooktop, a fold-down prep table, and pass-thru pantry storage. You also have the option of installing a Truma 96L dual-zone fridge and freezer or a 105L single-zone fridge/freezer.

Only a handful of dealers in the United States sell Boreas Campers. On the East Coast, Outbound Offroad in Raleigh, N.C., is the only dealer selling these campers.
