Several Google reviews mention the hospitality of the staff at Barrington Hills RV Resort. One happy RVer shared, “The ladies in the office are very friendly and helpful. It’s a very nice park, shower rooms, pool, gym…love it here!”

A resident wrote, “Everyone here is so accommodating and friendly. My kids and I just moved in yesterday, and they already love it. Kelly, Anne, and Gabriella were so helpful, and kind, and made the application process simple. The grounds are very well maintained and the amenities are outstanding. From location to service to neighbors thus far, this is a great park for families and pets alike.”

Location

Booking campgrounds in Florida, especially in the winter, is tricky. With so many snowbirds, you have to plan far in advance to get your reservations. The west coast of Florida offers a completely different experience than the southern tip or east coast. We love the close proximity to Tampa and Clearwater and all the outdoor recreational opportunities here. The location of Barrington Hills RV Resort is one of the best reasons to stay here!

The Cons of Barrington Hills RV Resort

But no campground is perfect. Even with the positive reviews and experiences, there are a couple reasons you might not want to make a reservation at Barrington Hills.

Lots of Residents

There are many annual and seasonal residents at this particular RV resort. Full-time residents can sometimes make campgrounds feel trashy and less desirable. People tend to leave out their gear and worry less about keeping their site clean since they’ve been stationary for so long.

One visitor shared, “This ‘RV park’ is more of a trailer park with a few RV spots” and another said, “This is mostly a park model home resort with about 20% RV sites.” Depending on your personal preference, the permanent resident vibe may be a deal breaker.

Tight Sites

Many Encore and Thousand Trails properties have small, tight RV sites. Barrington Hills RV Resort is no exception. All of the sites are back-in, so unless you’re along the outer edge of the park, you’ll have neighbors on three sides. Several reviewers mention the “cozy” sites and lack of personal privacy.

How Long Can You Stay At Barrington Hills RV Resort?

If you’re a Thousand Trails member, you’ll need the Trails Collection add-on to have access to Barrington Hills RV Resort. With the Trails Collection, most members can stay up to two weeks at a time. After that, you’ll need to leave for seven nights before returning.

If you’re not a Thousand Trails member, you can book as many nights as are available and pay the retail rate. As we mentioned earlier, there are also annual and seasonal sites. If you’re looking for a warmer place to spend the winter, perhaps a season at Barrington Hills just north of Tampa is worth considering.

The Next Time You’re Visiting Tampa, Consider Staying At Barrington Hills RV Resort

Barrington Hills RV Resort isn’t a luxurious park. But the prices also reflect the basic accommodations. You’ll find retail rates between $50-70 per night depending on the season, and the weekly rate is discounted. Therefore, if you’re looking for a family-friendly campground on the west coast of Florida, we recommend Barrington Hills. It has everything you need for an enjoyable stay and provides easy access to local attractions. You might even find yourself wanting to extend your stay when it’s time to check out!
