About Jayco
Jayco is a popular and well-established brand of recreational vehicles. It was founded in 1968 by Lloyd J. Bontrager and quickly grew into one of the most well-known brands in the industry. Their Magnum Truss Roof System was revolutionary as it helped increase the stability and durability of RVs.
Overall, the Jayco brand sits atop their family values, placing them at the forefront of the manufacturing process. Their goal is to help families create memorable outdoor experiences. To do this, their lineup consists of travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, and motorhomes. Families of all types can fulfill their sense of adventure by hitting the open road in these rigs.
About the Jayco Seismic
The Jayco Seismic is a toy hauler with a massive 102-inch wide-body design. In addition to being wide, they’re also long. You won’t find any of these models under 40 feet long. As a result, there’s plenty of room for everyone to spread out and stay comfortable inside these rigs.
As it’s a toy hauler, all Seismic models feature a massive rear ramp, doubling as a back patio. This can be the perfect spot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or the perfect sunset at the end of the day.
Other essential features of these units are the 5.5K generator, 17.5-inch tires, and six-point hydraulic landing gear. Additionally, you’ll have the confidence and peace of mind of Jayco’s brand reputation and their 2+3 warranty for any issues you may experience.
Where Is the Jayco Seismic Made?
Jayco manufactures the Seismic at their massive campus in Middlebury, Indiana. It’s just down the road from brands like Grand Design, Alliance RV, DRV, and more. In addition, if you cruise through Middlebury, you’ll likely see signs for several other major manufacturers in the RV industry.
Their location makes it easy for them to work directly with suppliers. They can get parts quickly and easily, which helps them keep their manufacturing processes in check. It reduces their shipping times and ensures that the entire process operates smoothly.
The Jayco Seismic Lineup
So, what makes the Jayco Seismic worth considering? As you’ll soon see, there’s lots to love about these campers. Jayco has done an incredible job creating a home-like atmosphere for these campers. Let’s dive in!
Jayco Seismic 359
MSRP: $107,280
Sleeps: 8
Length: 41’9”
Weight: 13,220 lbs.
Features: When walking through the main entry of the Seismic 359, you’re in the middle of the rig. The kitchen and master suite are to your right, and a half bathroom and garage space are to your left. You’re greeted by the main living area, which lacks any formal dining space.
However, like many toy haulers, the garage space is a multi-purpose space, which many use for dining. We love the massive countertops that wrap around and give plenty of space for preparing meals and the standard king-size bed.
Jayco Seismic 395
MSRP: $119,168
Sleeps: 7
Length: 45’7”
Weight: 14,890 lbs.
Features: Compared to the 359, the Seismic 395 moves the main entry further up towards the front of the cap. The opposing slides in the main living area create a massive open space when fully extended.
Additionally, you’ll have access to the main bathroom and bedroom with the slides retracted. This can be great for those overnight stops onto your next adventure. Jayco provides a few options, including a queen-size bed, an additional half bath, and a super sofa.
Jayco Seismic 403
MSRP: $107,918
Sleeps: 7
Length: 41’6”
Weight: 13,260 lbs.
Features: One of our favorite floorplans in the Seismic lineup is the Seismic 403. When walking into the main entry, you’re greeted by the kitchen and dining space. A large island creates a very open and free-flowing space, making it easy to move about.
Plus, Jayco uses the slide space to house the kitchen utilities and sofa, opening the room even more. With a large pantry and counter space perfect for a coffee bar, what more could you need?
Jayco Seismic 405
MSRP: $110,918
Sleeps: 8
Length: 41’5”
Weight: 13,535 lbs.
Features: The Seismic 405 is very similar to the 403, but Jayco has made a massive upgrade in the bedroom. They’ve swapped the bed placement perpendicular to the trailer instead of parallel. This provides more headspace when lying in bed and frees up the space in the front cap. With this space now available, Jayco created a massive closet with shelves and washer-dryer connections. This is the perfect rig for a family or couple to live comfortably, especially for those considering full-time traveling.
