Many campgrounds shut down during the winter months, but not year-round campgrounds. While year-round campgrounds might vary in the amenities they provide, the one thing they have in common is that they’re open 365 days a year – and sometimes 366.

This eliminates experiencing the disappointment of finding the perfect campground but discovering it’s closed for the season.

Chula Vista RV Resort, San Diego California

There are also bike trails, live music and concert events, and kid’s activities. Plus, you’ll have access to a pool and spa area, clubhouse, horseshoes, and pet-friendly picnic areas!

Verde Valley RV Resort, Cottonwood Arizona

Verde Valley RV Resort has 340 sites on their 300 acres and is located on the Verde River. Here you’ll find sites big enough to fit even the largest of rigs. You’re within driving distance of both the famous ghost town of Jerome and the beautiful views of Sedona.
There are opportunities for kayaking, fishing, hiking, and biking. Take advantage of access to explore the Mingus Mountains to the west or Hackberry Mountains to the south. Stay close and enjoy the resort amenities or venture out, either way, you’ll have a great stay here.
Miami Everglades RV Resort, Miami Florida

This thirty-four-acre tropical paradise was voted Miami’s “Best Campground” in 2010. Here you’ll camp among avocado, mango, and palm trees, but still, be close to Everglades National Park and Key Largo. This tropical paradise is ideal for those looking to relax at the campground or experience all the activities in the area.
You’ll enjoy all the luxuries that are found in RV resorts – swimming pools, laundry facilities, and sites to fit any size rig. If you find yourself in southern Florida, this is a great place to set up camp. Plus, why wouldn’t you want to camp in Florida year-round?
Rock Island State Park, Tennessee

Rock Island State Park is a hidden gem and is located an hour and a half east of Nashville. This 883-acre park is full of rugged beauty that includes overlooks, waterfalls, and a 19th-century cotton textile mill.
Rock Island State Park is home to five waterfalls ranging in height from 10’ to 80’. If water levels are low you can hike the Caney Fork Gorge and see how the water has carved through the land.
This campground has 50 RV sites and can accommodate small and large rigs (up to 46’). Every site has water and electricity and many, but not all, of the RV sites, have sewer hookups as well. While the campground is open year-round, this is a fantastic park to experience the changing autumn leaves.
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, Orlando Florida

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is located on the 40-square miles of Disney property in Orlando, Florida. Disney is known for not only creating an atmosphere but an experience as well.
On Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort’s 750-acres, you’ll feel like you’re on the American frontier, but with all the comforts of home. If you’re planning to go to any of the four Walt Disney World parks then staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort provides many benefits. You’ll receive complimentary shuttles to the parks and even extra hours in the park for resort guests only.
Disney provides events and activities at the campground all throughout the week and so staying at Fort Wilderness Resort can be a vacation in itself.
Point of Rocks Campground, Prescott Arizona

Point of Rocks Campground is a family-owned campground with 96 full-service sites. The surrounding area has everything an outdoor enthusiast could ask for – hiking, biking, and a multitude of water sports and activities.
Point of Rocks has two private hiking trails that lead to Lake Watson or to a relaxing view of Watson Lake and the city of Prescott. The gravel/dirt pads for each campsite match the natural environment. Each site is equipped with 30/50AMP power, water, sewer, and a picnic table. Due to the natural dry environment wood fires are prohibited, but propane fire-pits and barbecues are welcome.
With onsite recreation rentals that can deliver and pick up equipment to local lakes, you’ll easily connect with nature at Point of Rocks.
Gulpha Gorge Campground, Hot Springs Arkansas
305 Gorge Rd, Hot Springs National Park, AR 71901
Located near Hot Springs National Park is Gulpha Gorge Campground. Each of the 40 sites are on a first-come, first-served basis and equipped with full hookups and 30/50 amp power.
Be sure to bring your hiking shoes as there are 26 miles of trails to explore within the park. If hiking isn’t your thing, a relaxing day at one of the local bathhouses is a great way to spend an afternoon.
Whether you’re hiking or relaxing, be sure to take some time to learn about the history of Hot Springs and how it has changed over the years. You’ll find everything from mob bosses to professional baseball players have flocked here to soak in the springs.
Mustang Island State Park, Port Aransas Texas

Located on the Gulf of Mexico, Mustang Island State Park is home to a 5-mile stretch of beach. You’ll hear the waves crashing in the distance at one of their 48 RV sites, the beach is only 400 yards from most sites.
You can fill your day by fishing, hiking, biking kayaking, or bird watching. Learn more about birding, stargazing, or fishing by signing up for one of their ranger programs. This is a popular park that often reaches capacity, so be sure to plan and make reservations in advance.
Bahia Honda State Park, Big Pine Key Florida

Not many campgrounds can claim an award-winning beach, but Bahia Honda State Park can. This park is located at mile marker 37 in the Florida Keys and borders both the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.
With 500+ acres and its very own offshore island, you’ll find yourself in a scuba diving paradise. The campground has three camping sections that include 42 total sites for RV campers, all of which are back-in sites. The amenities here are not what attracts you to the park, it’s the price and the location – $16-42 per night and you’re in the Florida Keys.
This park is especially popular with snorkelers, fishing, and kayakers. If you enjoy any of these activities and find yourself in the Florida Keys, be sure to look into Bahia Honda State Park.
Palo Duro Canyon State Park, Amarillo TX

Palo Duro Canyon State Park is located in the panhandle of Texas and is home to the second-largest canyon in the United States. You can explore the 30 miles of trails by foot, biking, or horseback. There are 97 RV sites between three different campgrounds all of which are 20, 30, or 50 amp and have water hookups.
While exploring the park be sure to look out for some of the many animals, including two endangered animals – Palo Duro mouse and Texas horned lizard.
